How to calculate your own BMI (Body mass index)

Actually BMI (Body mass index) is a proportion of your body weight in kg. and the squire of your height in meter. You can easily calculate your own BMI. It's very simple and easy.

                                                                Your body weight in kilogram (kg.)
                                             BMI= -------------------------------------------------------------------
                                                         Your height in Meter  X  Your height in meter

If any one's weight is 70 kilogram and his height is 1.70 meter, then his BMI will be  24.22 according to the above law. As an example:-

                                                                             70
                                                       BMI= --------------------------------  = 24.22
                                                                      1.70 X 1.70

                   The normal range of BMI - for Man is ..... 24-27 and for Woman is ...... 22-25.

What you need to know
If your BMI is within 25 (for woman) and within 27 (for man) means your body is fit and healthy. But if it is more than 27 for woman and 29 for man then it will mean that you are over weight. In this condition you need to do some simple exercise and control your food. If any time for any reason you found that your BMI is more than 30 then it's a clear sign for Obesity for you and you need to alert to attack by degenerative diseases. For that reason you need to do physical exercise, practice yoga and also need to control your food.
